History Meets Innovation

The City of Annapolis, Maryland, also known as the 'Sailing Capital of North America' because of the Chesapeake Bay, has taken a significant step towards sustainability and safety with their first installation of an EcoPoste signpost. It stands proudly in front of the Thomas Hyde House, a historic federal-style building constructed in 1769.

This installation represents a perfect blend of Annapolis's rich history and its commitment to a greener, safer future. The Thomas Hyde House, now 256 years old, has witnessed centuries of American history and the addition of EcoPoste signposts demonstrates how modern sustainability can complement historical preservation.

EcoPoste signposts offer a unique solution to two critical urban challenges:

  1. Safety: EcoPoste is the only sustainable signpost to pass MASH crash testing, providing the highest safety rating for road sign supports.

  2. Sustainability: For every 1000 EcoPoste signposts installed, over 400 trees are saved compared to using traditional treated wood signposts.

By choosing EcoPoste, Annapolis is not only enhancing road safety but also making significant strides towards its green initiatives. This decision showcases the city's dedication to preserving its nautical heritage while embracing innovative, eco-friendly technologies.

The City of Annapolis is setting an example for other historic cities, proving that it's possible to maintain charm and character while prioritizing safety and sustainability. As more cities face the dual challenges of infrastructure upgrades and environmental conservation, Annapolis's adoption of EcoPoste signposts offers an inspiring model to follow.

Join Annapolis in its journey towards a safer, greener future with EcoPoste – where history meets innovation.
